Holistic Medicine/Healing
Holistic medicine, otherwise recently referred to as complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), is a new, integrated medical approach to animal health and disease. The techniques drawn upon are diverse, gentle, minimally invasive and incorporate patient well-being and stress reduction. the word "(w)holistic" means taking the whole picture of the patient - the environment, the disease pattern, the relationship of animal with human - and developing a treatment protocol using a wide range of therapies for healing the patient. Alternative medicine is the best recognized term for a group of treatments or therapeutic systems that lie outside the mainstream or conventional medicine. Because they have been considered unconventional in the past, until recently they have not been taught in U.S. medical or veterinary schools. This is beginning to change. More recently, the terms complementary and integrative medicine have come into use to indicate that they are used with or in addition to conventional therapies.
The holistic practitioner is interested in genetics, nutrition, family relationships, hygiene and stress factors. Many patients present in a state of dis-ease. At this point the holistic challenge lies in discovering "why?" By a series of analytical observations and appropriate testing the goal becomes finding the true root source of the pathology. A simple-appearing symptom may have several layers of causation. Only when the true cause of the ailment has been found is there the possibility for a lasting recovery.
It is at this point that the most efficacious, least invasive and least harmful path to cure may be selected from one or more of multiple modalities including one or more of the following:

All practitioners of holistic veterinary medicine are graduates of an accredited veterinary college or university of veterinary medicine. In addition, they have various degrees of proficiency and training in one or more of the above modalities and ascribe to a similar philosophy of healing as described above. The American Veterinary Holistic Medical Association (AHVMA), was organized in 1982 to help establish a network for veterinarians interested in alternative medicine. Newer organizations include the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), which holds certifying courses for veterinarians and chiropractors, and the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy, which holds certifying courses in the principles of classical homeopathy for veterinarians.
Integrative therapy is an emerging field which describes a practitioner or therapist who is trained in diverse aspects of energetic healing/medicine and uses their unique blend of skills to assist people in finding their own healing. There is currently no licensing or regulatory board for Integrative Therapy.

Vibrational or Energy Medicine "The New Medicine"
Vibrational Medicine, according to Richard Gerber, MD, in Vibrational Medicine, New Choices for Healing Ourselves is "that healing philosophy which aims to treat the whole person, ie., the mind/body/spirit complex, by delivering measured quanta of frequency-specific energy to the human(or animal) multidimensional body by integrating and balancing the higher energetic systems which create the physical/cellular patterns of manifestation."
Quanta of frequency, as defined by the new physics, may be any dose of energy. In terms of energetic healing, this maybe light, sound, color, homeopathy, aromatherapy, nutrition or that most important energy of all, love.
Ultimately, all physical ailment and distortion originates at a spiritual source, ie., how we perceive ourselves at a soul level. Spiritual perception creates thought, thought produces emotion, and our emotions (through the hormones they produce) shape our physical reality.
In any one moment, each person or animal may be expressing symptoms as a result of energy congested or accumulated at one aspect of their being. Addressing a mental symptom such as depression may be a doorway through which they may be led to a greater sense of overall well-being, and ultimately, spiritual evolution and connection.
"A Science Whose Time Is Come" Caroline Myss
At a core level, consciousness (awareness) resides in every cell of our being. That consciousness, or inner knowing, makes up an energy field that is unique to the individual, their electromagnetic "frequency signature." At the same time, that field is co-joined with the fields of every other sentient being, resulting in what modern day physicist David Bohm has termed "the unified field." By directing their focus and intent to the frequency signature of the patient or client, a medical intuitive is able to gather data from the individuals organs and systems and guide them via their own inner knowing back to a place of health and balance. Each of us contains the knowledge of how to be well. We are all our own best healer. The intuitive function as a highly trained facilitator, supporting that process.
A science based on the concept that all matter, animate or inanimate, emits radiation. The basic concept of radionics is that each individual organism or material radiates and absorbs energy via a unique wave field which exhibits certain geometrical, frequency and radiation-type characteristics. This is an extended force field (extending to infinity) that exists around all forms of matter whether animate or inanimate, and touches all other fields. It is this aspect of matter which enables a skilled and sensitive practitioner to diagnose and treat diseases by tapping into the energetic link between mind and matter. The more complex the system, the more complex the wave form. Living things, like humans, emit a very complex wave spectrum of which parts are associated with the various organs and functions of the body.
Radionics originated in the United States in the early 20th century wit the works of Dr. Albert Abrams (1863-1924), Director of Clinical Medicine at Stanford University. Radionics has flourished in Europe through the efforts of the Radionic Association (16-A North Bar, Banbury, Oxfordshire, Great Britain) which carries on a program of education, research, training and certification of radionics practitioners.
How Does Radionics Work?
Radionics is based on the fundamental concepts of atomic physics (E=mc2),
and the fact that even solid matter is dynamic and mutable (solid-liquid-radiance).
Molecules of diseased tissues have a different atomic and electromagnetic
composition than diseased tissues, and this "radiation" can be
detected and evaluated.
"Disease is an aberration of the electron structure, a change in the
otherwise uniform flow of electrons constituting the field of energy which
is radiated
from the physical organism." Dr. Albert Abrams (the first physician
to diagnose disease from a distance, using only the patient's blood spot
as a reference).
Radionics makes it possible to detect disease in its earliest stages, before
any physical symptoms are manifested (ie., interfaces at the etheric level).
Dr. Abrams later developed his own treatment device designed to neutralize
abnormal radiations "by the therapeutic application of vibration," aimed
at restoring the equipoise of disease by a rearrangement of molecules or
by raising their vibration to a normal standard of frequency."
Radionics Phenomenon Described
Such phenomena are best described within the terminology of modern physics.
Einstein's Theory of Relativity and Electrodynamics is based on the concept
that all matter is composed of atoms held together by energy fields and
forces. Research physicist Dr. Fritjof Capra states in his book, The Tao
of Physics,
that "in this world, classical concepts like 'elementary particles,
material substance or isolated object' have lost their meaning. The whole
universe now appears as a dynamic web of inseparable energy patterns."
David Bohm, physicist and author of Wholeness and the Implicate Order (1980), viewed quantum theory as an indicator of a new order - an existence in which all things are connected in an unmanifest "implicate order," and from which all matter manifest as an "explicate order." Activity in any part of this continuum is experienced by the entire field. This explains the concept of the universe as a unified field (wholism). Radionics works because the field of the practitioner can contact the field of the patient to obtain a diagnosis.
The practitioner, keeping in mind her or his own question, must use some means of determining when the state of resonance has been achieved - that is, the pattern of the patient's energy field has been identified and transduced into a rate, response or set of numbers which the practitioner then correlates with a particular disease condition.
Methods of determining the patient's frequency imbalance using radionics include 1) radionics machine 2) kinesiology and 3) dowsing.
